Undisclosed Islay 2007-2026 | 18 Year Old Infrequent Flyers Single Cask 807402
Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 53.7%
A single cask undisclosed Islay single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2007 and bottled in April 2026 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for his latest Infrequent Flyers Batch 21 release. Matured for 18 years, this half puncheon bottling spent its final five years and three months finishing in an Oloroso sherry puncheon (cask #807402), before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.7% ABV. Limited to just 322 bottles, this release combines classic Islay peat with the rich influence of long Oloroso cask maturation.
While officially released as an undisclosed Islay single malt, the whisky's character strongly suggest Caol Ila. As with many unnamed Islay bottlings, this remains informed speculation rather than a confirmed distillery. Expect an elegant balance of coastal peat smoke and Oloroso richness, with notes of baked stone fruits, blood orange and dark berries developing into layers of dark chocolate, stewed dried fruits, warming cinnamon and cracked black pepper, all wrapped around fragrant Islay peat and lingering wood smoke.
Batch 21 of the Infrequent Flyers range was bottled in April 2026 and comprises seven distinctive single cask releases (AWW Releases #186-192), each selected by Alistair Walker to showcase unusual cask maturations and individual distillery character.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright mahogany.
Nose: Baked peach and cranberries, with lovely sweet, smoky undertones. A hint of blood orange, and a little cracked black pepper. Nicely poised.
Taste: Islay peat and sweet Oloroso, what an eternally alluring combination. Bog myrtle
over smouldering embers, with contrasting dark chocolate, stewed sultanas and
Amarena cherries, plus a bonus cinnamon cameo. It all comes together rather
nicely. Nuff said.
