A distinctive early release from Speyside Distillery's Spey range, Tenné takes its name from the old heraldic term for a tawny-orange colour, a reference to both its appearance and the Tawny Port casks used during maturation. Produced at the small and characterful Speyside Distillery near Kingussie, Tenné helped establish the modern Spey brand and showcased the distillery's elegant, fruity spirit in a different style.

This limited release was matured in oak casks before being finished in Tawny Port casks, imparting additional layers of red berry fruits, soft spices and gentle sweetness. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring, it offered a more contemporary approach than many traditional Speyside malts of the period while retaining the distillery's hallmark smoothness and refinement.
