The Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength series has become one of the most eagerly anticipated annual releases from Glengyle Distillery, showcasing the distillery's distinctive Campbeltown character in a robust, natural form. Batch 5 was bottled in 2021 at a powerful 56.9% ABV and matured exclusively in sherry casks, delivering a rich and intensely flavoured interpretation of Kilkerran's lightly peated spirit.

Produced at Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery, which revived whisky-making in Campbeltown after a gap of more than 75 years, Kilkerran has earned a reputation for combining traditional production methods with a characterful, old-fashioned style. The annual 8-year-old cask strength releases have become particularly sought after, offering an unfiltered and unapologetically full-bodied snapshot of the distillery's developing house style.

Batch 5 is packed with notes of dark fruits, treacle, baking spices and chocolate, underpinned by Kilkerran's trademark oily texture and subtle coastal peat smoke. Bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, it remains one of the standout modern releases from Campbeltown's newest distillery.
