Craigellachie 2007-2026 | 18 Year Old Infrequent Flyers Single Cask 1828
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 58.6%
A single cask Craigellachie single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2007 and bottled in April 2026 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for Infrequent Flyers Batch 21. Matured for 18 years, this release spent around six years finishing in a Premier Cru Bordeaux barrique (cask #1828) before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.6% ABV. Limited to just 266 bottles and bottled without added colour or chill filtration.
Craigellachie is renowned for producing one of Speyside's most distinctive and characterful spirits, celebrated for its weighty texture and slightly savoury, robust profile. The extended Premier Cru Bordeaux finish adds an intriguing layer of rich fruit while complementing, rather than overwhelming, the distillery's naturally muscular character. Expect aromas of red grapes, rum and raisin ice cream and a subtle balsamic richness, leading to flavours of ripe red plums, cranberries, blood orange, golden syrup and warming nutmeg. The result should be a full-bodied, complex dram where vibrant wine cask influence sits in harmony with Craigellachie's unmistakable house style.
Batch 21 of the Infrequent Flyers range was bottled in April 2026 and comprises seven individual casks, AWW Release Numbers 186 to 192. Created by the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, the series is renowned for its small-batch and single cask releases, each selected to showcase distinctive maturation styles and bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or added colour.
