Bottled at 43% ABV and matured predominantly in American oak ex-bourbon casks, with a small proportion of sherry casks adding extra depth, it offered a lighter, more maritime style than many contemporary Islay malts while retaining Bowmore's signature balance of gentle peat smoke, citrus fruit, vanilla, honey and coastal salinity.
