Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 57.4%
A single cask Benrinnes single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2012 and bottled in April 2026 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. as part of his Infrequent Flyers Batch 21. Matured for 14 years, this release was finished for approximately 3 years and 8 months in a Barolo wine barrique (cask #7110), before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.4% ABV. Limited to just 282 bottles and bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
Benrinnes is renowned for producing a robust, full-bodied Speyside spirit that responds particularly well to active cask maturation. The extended Barolo finish is expected to complement the distillery's naturally rich character with additional layers of red berry fruit, gentle tannins and warming spice. Expect notes of toasted oak, gooseberry, kiwi and nectarine on the nose, followed by ginger snaps, ripe apricots, salted caramel and sweet peppery spice on the palate, delivering a whisky with impressive depth and complexity.
Infrequent Flyers is the award-winning independent bottling range from Alistair Walker Whisky Co., dedicated to showcasing exceptional single casks from Scotland's finest distilleries. Batch 21 was bottled in April 2026 and comprises seven individual releases (AWW Releases 186-192), each selected to highlight the distinctive influence of carefully chosen casks and bottled at natural cask strength for maximum character.
