A single cask Balmenach single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 9th October 2008 and bottled on 14th April 2026 by Signatory Vintage for its premium Cask Strength Collection. Matured for 17 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt (cask #3), this limited release yielded 671 individually numbered bottles. Presented in Signatory's distinctive heavy decanter-style bottle and bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.8% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour.

Balmenach has long been regarded as one of Speyside's more traditional distilleries, producing a robust, weighty spirit that responds particularly well to sherry cask maturation. Signatory Vintage has bottled only a handful of Balmenach releases for its Cask Strength Collection over the years, with most appearing between 2013 and 2015 and the previous release bottled in 2019, making this a welcome return to the range.

 Seventeen years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt is expected to complement the distillery's rich, malty character with layers of dried fruits, dark chocolate, orange peel, roasted nuts and warming baking spices, balanced by honeyed malt and gentle oak. Expect a full-bodied whisky with impressive depth and complexity.

Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection showcases exceptional single casks bottled at their natural strength, without chill filtration or added colour, allowing each whisky to display the individual character of both the distillery and the cask from which it was drawn.
