Auchroisk 2012-2026 | 13 Year Old Infrequent Flyers Single Cask 9088
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 56.8%
A single cask Auchroisk single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2012 and bottled in April 2026 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for his Infrequent Flyers Batch 21. Matured for 13 years in Pedro Ximénez hogshead cask #9088, this Speyside single malt spent approximately 2 years and 6 months finishing in the sweet sherry cask before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.8% ABV. Limited to just 333 bottles and bottled without added colour or chill filtration.
Pedro Ximénez casks are renowned for adding richness and indulgent sweetness to whisky, and this release is expected to complement Auchroisk's naturally fruity Speyside character beautifully. Expect aromas of ripe Conference pears, espresso coffee and almond praline, leading into a velvety palate with notes of cocoa, molten Demerara sugar, crème brûlée and a gentle hint of nutmeg. The result should be a full-bodied, dessert-like dram that balances the distillery's elegant fruitiness with the luxurious depth of well-integrated PX sherry influence.
Bottled as AWW Release No. 192, this whisky forms part of Infrequent Flyers Batch 21, released in April 2026. The batch comprises seven individually selected casks (Releases 186–192), each chosen by Alistair Walker to showcase the influence of distinctive cask maturations and finishes across a range of Scotch whisky styles. As with every Infrequent Flyers release, this is a limited, single cask bottling created to highlight individuality, natural character and exceptional cask selection.
